I don't think I've ever heard this ELP song, but it sounds familiar. The "Love blind, where are you taking me" line, sounds like a part from another song. Or maybe it's just this song & I forgot. Anyway, I wanted to here this song for Keith Emerson synth/keyboard solo. He's using a Korg DW8000.

Basement ELP fans will always cry foul at any of commercial attempt of the band to survive their times. A true ELP fan understands that the grandiose Sci-Fi era, was a wonderful, fleeting period, never to be re-lived. I love this song and album. A shame they had to struggle so much with image, personnel, and production control issues. One of the greatest musical forces in history.

This is still better than 100% of the crap out today. ELPalmer/Powell had to change with the times. Lake is still in great voice and the song is solid. (BTW, best username ever, @theprognerd) :)

It's not bad but it was ELP hanging on by the fingernails. It had all gone south, and you can even hear a certain sloppiness to Keith's solo 'way beyond his usual rushing through the notes like he's not even paying attention. ELP is the stuff of legend, beyond just the three human guys (and that's Palmer not Powell). Rob Grant and Doug Naylor even used them as satire (Rimmer finding a ship's instruction manual as incomprehensible as Emerson, Lake & Palmer lyrics.) Now, reunion rumors. Eh.

This album can be found in "cut-out" bins for $1.98.....not the worst stuff ever recorded, better than "Love Beach", but that's not saying much.
