I bounce back and forth between tastes lol. I'm primarily listening to stuff like The Juliet Massacre/Chainsaw Disaster/Winds of Plague, but I do love Lamb of God type of stuff. Hell, I even like some of the fight inducing hip hop stuff.

you just getting into deathcore? lol a lot of people have walked that path. youll probably get into death metal next and then stop listening to metal for a while eventually. the endgame is a more sophisticated taste from your journey

Check their new CD out... it's called "The Great Destroyer". It's worth a download at the very least. If there's anything you like or don't like about it, you can let them know on Facebook. They appreciate the feedback. They're all chill ass mother fuckers in their 30's who have had experience in a lot of different types of bands, and are independently ran... no record label. But they're taking this band really serious and definitely want to hear what people think of their style, so check it out

Honestly the best new band I've heard to come out of Phoenix in years is my own buddy's band Virulent. They just dropped their first full length CD and it's pretty sick. It's definitely a bit on the "experimental/progressive" side of deathcore, but they pull it off fairly well. It also has a hint of "djent". Lots of low pitched, 7 string, chunky breakdowns and just a heavy overall tone. They also have a DJ and utilize electronic elements and more "chill" tracks with ambient riffs and clean vox.

Like what? I'm in Arizona and there were days when Phoenix was of the first cities in a world where the deathcore genre really blew up huge and there were solid bands popping up left and right all around the city, some with a lot of worldwide success like Job For A Cowboy, Knights Of the Abyss, and Abigail Williams. A lot of bands here either disbanded, or moved. We still get good tours coming through here fairly regularly, but nothing like it used to be. It used to be SICK ass shows every week.
