On this day in 1968 {March 8th} the Elvis Presley movie "Stay Away Joe" had its world premier... The song "Stay Away" was featured in the movie; it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart on March 16th, eight days after the movie's premier. Eventually the record peaked at #67 and spent 5 weeks on the Top 100... The record's A-side, "U.S' Male", reached #26 on the Top 100 and stayed on that chart for 9 weeks... R.I.P. to The King {1935 - 1977}...

Hi Adem, this has always been my most favorite song from the "Stay Away, Joe" soundtrack. As expected, this entire video was absolutely phenomenal. Thumbs up all the way. Best Wishes

I find this song quite wonderful. It was based on Greensleaves (which I don't like much). There is something about it that keeps me listening .. I like the backing music.
