On this day in 1962 {August 11th} the Elvis movie "Kid Galahad" had its world premier It was a remake of the 1937 original version starring Edward G. Robinson, Bette Davis, & Humphrey Bogart The song "King of the Whole Wide World" was featured in the film; & on Sept. 22nd it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, eventually peaking at #30 On the day the film premiered Elvis' "Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello" entered the Top 100, it reached #55 {was the B-side of "She's Not You", it peaked at #5}

Slower tempo. But I still love it!

I don't know if it was recorded slower or whether the original was sped up. They used to do weird shit like that. It's possible that Elvis recorded the master take at this same tempo and then RCA sped it up when they released it.
