On this day in 1956 {May 16th} 1956 Elvis performed at the Robinson Memorial Auditorium in Little Rock, Arkansas...During a local radio interview a DJ asked Elvis what was his favorite song, Elvis said "I Was The One"...At the time his "I Was The One" was at #58* on Billboard's Top 100 chart; two months earlier on March 22nd, 1956 it had peaked at #23 {for 4 weeks} and it spent 16 weeks on the Top 100...The week it was at #58 he had five other records on the Top 100 chart; the record's A-side, "Heartbreak Hotel" {#1}, "Blue Suede Shoes" {#41}, "My Baby Left Me" {#68}, "Money Honey" {#76}, and "I Want You, I Need You, I Loved You" {#90}...* According to Billboard "I Was The One" was actually tied at #58 with "Little Girl Of Mine" by the Cleftones...
