i love new versions of any Elvis song..But I gotta agree with some people here..This is not the best vocal available for this song. I do think in extracting the vocal without any musical or backing voice, the studio recording makes more sense. So maybe this was the only option left.. Elvis sounds deflated and slightly flat...not musically..Just the spark is not there. Col Parker might have gotten it right by always raising his vocal above the music in the final masters. Perhaps. The Orchestra could have been better arranged. I dont want to use an Orcestra to play on the same melody line as the front vocal. No magic.. They should have been quiet..Especially in the first verse. I know they are being showcased as well.. BUt dont showcase yourself at the expense of magic.. Im 50 50 on this track..There is something lacking in the whole blend of these new tracks.. Cirque de Soleil did a better job at creating a new Elvis energy...and that was for a show!!

It's always Elvis singing, but the Royal filarmonica orchestra has nothing of the faboulous Aloha's orchastration force and bigness. Elvis's almighty vocals are better framed in Aloha's sound.On the other hand, if Elvis would like any Royal Filarmonica 's orchestration he could simply ask for it and for sure would have had it in the same way he had the english version of ''sole mio''.And certainly Elvisaurus had no need of any Royal Filarmonica to remind everyone he's been a classical value decades ago.

Remember when Elvis did it in Hawaii and after the flute solo his orchestra blew the walls out and Elvis yelled "take it home son"!!! The band pumped him up and he finished the song powerfully. This version just ain't there. This is a Priscilla's project. She might have been his wife, but I swear she don't know his music! The Trumpet player don't have no chops, the drums are not in the forefront, and these players have no soul. And they don't even use Elvis best vocal on this. I know Elvis music like the back of my hand, and I know Elvis would not approve of this.
