It's most probably because back then they didn't have the lyrical pronunciation supported by any linguist. For instance, if you read the lyrics to Siraxta, you'll see some parts similar to Omnos. Listen and observe the pronunciation difference :)

Well, if the differences are anything to go on, I'd say it's because of advances in the reconstruction of the Gaulish Language... or maybe Eluveitie just have access to better linguists now than they did then.
