I've a constant ache in the morning light, its on account of the night before. This song was written for me?

I had the good fortune of being in studio at the Caribou Ranch during the recording of this album. I needed to copy a (my song, recorded at Devonshire Studios in Hollywood)16-track tape; Caribou was the only studio that had two 16-track recorders (in the area) at the time. Richie from Applewood Studios hooked me up. It was a good day.

Judging by this playlist, I think we may be brothers from a different mother. Ok I know I.m too old for that.Nice to see another EJ fan. When I was a teenager, I would sit at the piano for hours with the album covers in front of me playing his songs. He truly inspired me. I know I have at least 26 of his albums.peace...........Ric

A bolt of lightning is actually one million volts of electrostatic electricity discharged from the clouds to the ground. If you see someone get hit by lightning, tell them "You're so static !"

a great song, an album of dubious quality, cranked out amidst a frenetic period of Elton in the seventies, nonetheless a song that's overlooked

@americangalbasseyfan yep I had the 8 track but like all 8 tracks after a while we had to stuff match packets etc. in the corner of the player to keep it from sounding like a warped/melted vinyl...aaaargh 8 tracks!! like communism, great in theory but...aaargh XD

The trumpets at the end are killer! Tower of Power -- funny how that name came back all of a sudden with Victor Conte and BALCO.

One of his rockier songs. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He does a great version of this live on the 1995 reissue of "Here And There". I think it's on the same disc as the John Lennon performance.

I loved this album (then again my 1970s teenage mission was to grab up every EJ LP upon release and wear them out!) I can't believe I still remember this having not heard it in over 30 years! Thanks for posting :)
