A full-production demo of an early composition by Elton John & Bernie Taupin, recorded at Dick James Studios in 1968. Elton never released a version of it, but it was recorded and released in 1968 by Brian Keith (from the band Palstic Penny) and in 1969 by Tom Thumb, a band in New Zealand. These were the days when Elton and Bernie were primarily employed to write songs for the Dick James organization to record with other artists. This is the period that is famous for Elton (Reg Dwight) being very depressed and disillusioned, wanting to kill himself, and unhappily engaged to a girl he didn't really want to marry.
