@RonnieFriend And I started with "Crocodile Rock". In 1973 it was so different from all the other songs the pupils listened to at that time. But I had the feeling that Elton John would be someone special and a very great artist - and I was right. Since that time, I never stopped listening to his music. But exactly ten years later, a second artist stepped into my life when I started to study in Cologne - Mr. Chris Rea. I love them both and to be honest - I don´t listen nearly any other music....

I agree! And it sounds like we have the same history.... I'm also born in 1960 and fell in love with Elton's music when "Bennie and the Jets" was a hit single on the radio!

What a wonderful song. It should have been on the "Made in England". Let me tell you, I decided at the age of 13 to be Sir Elton´s fan,- now I´m 51 and still do. Thank you very much for the great video - superb pictures.

Most artists do not have too many "extras" to leave off of an album, he has like six per album. Brilliant, brillian, brilliant man.

I'll say this, I enjoy writing lyrics of my own and I take a lot of inspiration from Bernie. I have to also say, it is rewarding to be able to scrap good ideas. Because, like this song, you know you are creative when you can get rid of your best and do even better.

One day all the unheard hits of Sir Elton should be released...

Most other artists would put this song as the opener of their "Best of". Elton makes it an outtake. What can I say?
