I have to agree with you pretty much. Leon Russell and Steely Dan are two of the best musicians around. Probably catch flak for that. But if you listen to radio stations that talk (NPR) they generally have at least one or two a week of new musicians and old ones that have been forgotten (Dr. John)

But he COULD sing before his surgery. And I'd still like to hear Leon's weak voice instead of Elton John's, although I like Elton, my favorite is still Leon.

Don't know if you've heard, but Leon has had a five hour brain surgery. The fact that he's up and going is more than most of us would be doing. AND even though he's not doing much singing, he's still one of the very best.
