I still have to read the books but I feel now this could be Lestat as well as Claudia. As much as they come to hate each other, they have much in commen. I would never like this song sung by Claudia, though. I don't care about her since the moment she took vengeance on Lestat only. But Elton John performs this in a wonderful way.
