While CDs *can* definitely sound superior to vinyl, in the case of the ELO CDs, the mastering was tragic. If you want to hear ELO properly, the only way is vinyl.

Umm, yep, if he sings this when I see him in Hyde Park in Sept, I will definitely cry. And if he sings 'don't walk away' or 'Big Wheels'.... ok, I think I might cry a lot.

Look back on the golden age of man, of art, of music, of architecture, of culture, of everything great and know that it is over. It truly is. We rode the fucking crest though. tell em all that where you go next my friends, what a beautiful journey we all have ahead.

Quite a few of the songs on OOTB were about Mrs. Jeff Lynne v1.

This song is an epic masterpiece. Only from the mind and genius of Jeff Lynne. And truly one of the greatest albums of all time.

If anybody hasn't heard the version Lynne did with Richard Tandy in "Live at Bungalow Palace," give it a listen...In my opinion, its better than this version.

I love the Vinyl sound, Thank You. It has more depth and is less "sterile" than digital.

The beginning of the riff was copied off of another ELO song: "Mission (A World Record)" from 1976's "A New World Record."

WTF with audio problems people ?? I lsitened to this beautiful double album on clear blue vinyl on a fucking mono dansette when I was eleven; same as the beatles blue album and the beach boys twenty golden greats You know what ? The best music I ever heard. I now own a recording studio, eleven guitars and a very decent hifi, but NOTHING will ever match again how I felt whwn I heard that needle hit the groove on those albums. Go with the soul, not the architecture.
