I know some of it from watching her vblogs. The final version of this song combines four different versions of "Tidal" that she had put together. In her blog she said that she was never satisfied with the song going in one direction. It got so frustrating to her that she literally pulled the mix apart completely and worked all four "directions" into the song. I remember she said later on another vid that this song was the most complicated for her, and that she is surprised at how popular it is.

She writes beautiful music but something about her use to annoy me,probably the comments she would write on my space a few years ago.Like the whatcha say song i put it on before i knew she wrote it first and she was talking about it.Felt like she was having a go at me,but she did write that song first and a few other comments,haha dont like to criticise,i love listening to her music,i dont know something use to annoy me about her.But she's probably a nice woman and shes a very talented singer
