Recorded on April 19, 1948, at the time James Caesar Petrillo, head of the American Federation of Musicians, pulled "his boys" out of the commercial recording studios for a prolonged strike (which lasted through the end of the year). Some vocalists were able to get around the lack of musical backgrounds by having vocal groups accompany them in close harmony- this was one memorable example.Related Videos
