Why do people listen to cheryl crap cole when there is decent singers like elkie brooks who can sing elkie is still touring and singing her songs to her fans and she gets forgot about. This lady is so underrated.

Fantastic song. It's ironic that women in pop had more opportunities if they were older than they do now. In the plethora of tv talent shows, that seems the only way for a woman over 40 to get a platform, and even then they're treated as stop gaps. We just simply don't get these gutsy soul-wrenching ballads that only experience can really do well at. Now the age bracket for commercial success is so tiny, 15-30 for pop? No wonder it's gone down the drain. I really miss this. Great song. Rant ove

going to throw the moggy into the box of hungover pidgeons... this was a gem for 1986 but Elton's Sacrifice beat sounded very similar in 1989... Hope I got the dates correct or I'm very penniless breaking rocks for 30 million years! Both good but Elkie, you're top of our wish list. Beautiful song, singer and memories. :)
