Classic blues rock. Interesting hearing a pre-metal Dio, but considering that metal has roots in blues rock, it's no wonder he became one of the pioneers of the metal genre.RIP Ronnie James Dio

I still think this band, and specifically this album is the BEST music Dio ever made. I still have that original album purchased back then. Elf played for one of our Sr dances in either fall of '72 or in winter of '73 at the local youth center. But I already had the album by then, Elf was a hot band for our class back then. Made the hometown proud. Took the album to college in Ohio with me and ended up buying and bringing copies back with me from my vacations.
