Showing love to the new school!! Lol i wish the emphasis was placed more on talent in today's music. He comes from that era where you had to be on a certain level in pretty much all aspects of your presentation to get a record deal. Current industry standards are very disturbing. The label's know that the machine has become so strong, that they can sell anything that's black. The powers at be are well invested as well. New artists need to sit back and observe this and hold themselves accountable as well. Real musical talent, continue the legacy or sell out....

It's easy to be shocked that El can actually play, especially when there are so many "pretty face" artists out now that depend on behind the scenes studio musicians for their music. But when you consider that it was actually him playing on the Debarge albums, it makes sense that he can also play live.He's up there with Billy Joel, Nat King Cole, Teddy Riley on the keys.This is why when I see Alicia "Keys" promoted as some sort of double threat on piano, it makes me sick. Her amateur playing is an insult to the older generations who know their instrument inside and out, and STILL not admit to being any good!

He is truly a genius of a performer... Even on Motown 25, you could see that he was so much of a genius than anyone else on that stage when DeBarge and High Inergy were performing... HE WAS AND IS ON FIRE!!! Amazing talent... I hope we can experience more and more of his musical brilliance throughout the years to come!! He's as talented as Sly, Stevie, Barry, Marvin, Jackie, Sam, Otis and does not need to stand in the shadow of his brother Bobby. Eldra (I hate calling him El) is an amazing talent all on his own... Simply Amazing!!
