I saw this tour at the Palladium (R.I.P.). Simon Philips is a small guy and you almost couldn't see him behind all those drums. I miss those days. Out of all the British Invasion guitar players Jeff Beck has proven to be the most creative, expansive, musically adventurous of the lot. As much as I loved the old music Slow Hand lost it as time went on and so did Page. A lot of the rest just got stuck in a time warp. IMO Beck was the one who really got it. The best.12 years ago
