Rest in peace, Jerry. Your talent goes on to influence players to this day. I wish I could have met you before you passed and told you what a fantastic player I thought you were. Thanks for sharing your gift with the world. You are missed.

Saw Edgar Winter's White Trash at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona in about 1973. They absolutely tore the house down! Rick Derringer was on guitar I believe. Probably the best pure rock and roll band I ever saw. So tight. Thanks, guys.

Wow. 'Fortunate' is an understatement! I didn't realize that both Chuck (him, I knew) and Gerry had passed. With Dan Hartman gone over two decades already. all we have now is the fond memories. That's a great story...thanks for sharing!

saw them at the Sports Arena on a hot summer night right after the release of 'They Only Come Out at Night' . Edgar ALWAYS started his shows back then with "KEEP" and I can honestly say that it was one of the most KICK-ASS straight ahead rock and roll shows from start to finish that I've ever seen!!!

I love Jerry Weems solo. I used to copy it when I was playing lead guitar on this song 30 years ago!

Well, the other guys seem similar in height to Edgar. Only the guitarists seemed obviously shorter. Am I wrong?

Mark Malone

Actually Edgar and his brother Johnny are both very tall men, so anyone else beside them seemed short. Add to that various platform shoe heights... M.M.
