Marley is a sacred cow. Overrated imo. Made some great tracks but 75% of his music is turgid

I agree Marley is so, so, so repetitive. I'd rather spin a EG record any day.

Apart from unashamedly insulting who was probably the best reggae singer of all times, do you have any evidence to prove anything you have written? Yes, some of his music was commercialized but Bob had many other songs and albums that was deep, true reggae. Eddie also had many songs which were commercialized. I don't wanna dance, Gimme hope Joanna, etc... Don't run your mouth on such creative people, 'tis not nice mate...

Ok, I'll go straight to the point: B.Marley was tedious and repetitive most of the time, never innovator or genius, Marley stole riffs, melodies and arrangements to all kinds of commercial blacks and whites music, from spiritual to Tin Pan Alley. Disguised as a music sub-proletariat of the Third World, his music was a simple dance music for American teenagers, and Marley a late hippie unrealistic and superficial.

@luispis1 I am sorry for carrying on the way I did. Bob Marley's music speaks for itself. I just thought I could make you listen to him. I should have paid more attention to the 1st part of our original comment but I concentrated on the 2nd. This music "can't get enough of you" is not even Reggae so that says it all really. I'll pay more attention next time. have a nice day.

@chung1chu Look chung1chu, I respect your love for Bob Marley's music. I don't want to argue with you. What I wrote in my previous posts is what I think and your reasons won't change my ideas.
