As a popular singer in the pre-rock era of the early fifties, Eddie Fisher was without equal.

His handsome looks and strong vocals made him a true teen idol.

Throughout the most successful years of Eddie's career, he recorded for RCA...but, after he parted ways with RCA in 1960, he had releases on a number of labels, including

'7 Arts'.

This track was recorded for 7 Arts, and released in 1961...it was a Top 50 hit in the USA.

The Australian release was on the Viking label, cat. # VS-67.

It was not a hit in Australia.

The flipside was a groovy remake of "Breezin' Along With The Breeze".

I have not uploaded th flipside to YouTube because there's already a good copy available here, also from an Aussie 45.

This upload is from the original 45.

I have this on 45 and it appears on the Tonight With Eddie Fisher LP, from 1960 on Eddie's own Ramrod label. The 45 is on the 7 Arts label. He was the best.

Because this was a small label - how the heck did they get lucky enough to sign Eddie Fisher - and some of these cuts were released on the budget label LP Eddie Fisher (PREMIER label) - what a voice he had, it's a shame that his personal life seemed to overshadow his great vocal talent ~

Wow, Eddie's version here just fell short of the top 40...It's a great version...Should have charted higher.
