Whenever you see the guitar plugged in, the sound comes from the amps. Not much difference, Eddie was the master !

Coming from a musician, the answer is quite simply: Both. Guitars and amplifiers are equally important, albeit in different ways. Hope that helps. :)

He's using a Gretsch guitar, which is known for its signature "that Gretsch sound!". The amps do play a factor in your tone, etc. But the sound you're feeling is probably from the heart of the Gretsch.

The guitar is a Gretsch G6120 with a P90 Dog Ear neck-pickup. His amp was a Fender Bassman

Eddie grew up about 30 miles from where Holly's plane crashed. He knew that area.

Great guitar playing on this one, love it. Cochran plays the rhythm well when he's not hitting those chords, different than the recorded guitar part.

Eddie Cochran è sinonimo di rock'n'roll. Ho iniziato a suonare la chitarra quando ho scoperto la sua musica. E' stato ed è il più grande ...

Eddie Cochran has been dead 52 years & his music has more life & feeling than anything you would hear on the radio today.
