If I'd gone to Chester for a weekend, over Christmas, with a girl I had started to have feelings for and if I'd heard this playing in a pub beer garden, under shuffling lights, I'd want to suck the singer's cock. Otherwise, it's just a nice plaintive song with no unfathomable depths and no memorable effect.It feels strange saying that as it's quite a touching song and it was something that stood out in an era of emptiness. I remember needing raw, devastated, emotionally harrowing ballads around the time this came out but there was nothing.Something had changed overnight.
