Lucifer (Satan) was the arch angel of music.Because God Almighty is superior to Satan we can rest assured that whatever we are doing, so as long it is not sin, is permissible.God inspired David to write about what can be made a joyful noise unto the Lord.Stringed instruments and percussion make the cut.

I'm not talking about this metal, I'm referring to the good gift of music. 36“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3 Are we being disobedient using the gift of God to Glorify Him? I enjoy playing metal, fast and heavy complex rhythms, I want to make a song using the prophecies in Joel, Isaiah (24), Revelation as lyrics! Some use it for evil no doubt. But not all of us =]

Sing to the LORD a new song; Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. ps 96 Sing praises to God, sing praises; Sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with a skillful psalm. ps 47 Love God.

You've got that backwards brother, Satanists make a failed attempt at imitating god's word with music, this is why there's fewer overall "satanic" bands left than they're are christian bands, (not just talking about metal, music in general.) That right there is a sign that God is here to take back his music and use it to it's true meaning, giving glory to his name.

God made all music in order to create glory to his name, he's original, all satan has done with dimmu borgir and all of the "satanic" bands is use god's glory to try and turn it against god, this is god's way of saying "nice try, but I'm taking my music back..."

There's a reason Christianity is one of the most dominant religions of the world right now....and yet people don't see the things in front of they're very eyes....

I can say that I don't have the slightest intent on copying a satanic band in any way shape or form. I am not afraid of dedicating and pointing everything I do to God so I am sure that God's spirit will be behind every note played. The music is almost 100% from the bible so i am not sure how it could be anything but for God. God bless, Gabriel

I would say I agree with you in that a lot of Christian metal just copies secular and that we shouldn't be doing that. As I now do not listen to any secular metal and am more inspired by Dvorjak and other genres a lot of this won't apply. I think there are big issues in the Christian scene such as people doing things without asking God weather it is right, and copying satanic metal bands in how they dress and what they do just because it looks 'cool'.

we must of course be wary of the spirit behind the music rather than what might sound evil within the songwritting. For instance classical composers may not use 'the devils chord/note/beat' but the spirit in them which will speak through the music might be deeply satanic. This song was in no way inspired by anything satanic and it doesn't actually have the 'devils note' in it, it has only major and minor chords, surely they are ok right? otherwise every song would be devilish :)

Hello there my friend, I must make it clear that Ecthirion in no way copies Satanic bands, I currently listen to no satanic/antichristian music or anything close. I must remind you that God is a creative being he created music without putting biblical rules on what is good or evil in regards to notes, only the spirit behind it.
