Mediocre rock overhyped by Metallica notariety. Newsted is an uninspired and untalented dude who did well in Metallica being told what to do, but as a band leader he settles for 'acceptable market-rock' and doesn't have the talent or balls to really show the people something new. RIP Echobrain but may history never repeat this disaster.

Lars and James couldnt hold Mustaine because he was getting bigger than them... Fans loved Jason after the death of cliff but they couldnt take it either so they kept on pushing him to the limit ... and now he has his own band and they dont sound bad ... echobrain sounds like the music that played in the background when you do stuff .. i like it .. their music makes me feel like im busy！

The truth is, Metallica (James) broke Jasons heart. No real other way to put it. Jason wanted to have a side project. They said no. At that point, everything changes. You dont see your bandmates the same ever again. Its like the love of your life, and you catch her cheating on you, or lying to you. It can never be unseen. And you suddenly learn what you are actually worth to them. And its tragic. Once someone breaks you like that, and your job, of all things, is to CONNECT and make music together with them, it becomes thin, transparent, and an insult to yourself, and those who really listen.
