I am new to this. Who is Mr Echo? Who and what are his "Bunnymen?" Are they a popular 4 beat combo? They seem to have a particular "groove". Are they "down with the kids"? They seem to be a rather intense group of chaps. Is this so?

Heard this on John Peel. I wish the music scene was as exciting now as it was then. I don't mean they should still be playing punk (that's my generation's music and not for sharing!) but they could try being a bit more iconoclastic.

Nah, none of the radio stations in Southern California play this band on the radio. None that I know of at least. This song just reminds me of how plastic and fake life can be in Los Angeles. Hence the lyrics "you said people roll on carpet but I never thought they'd do those things." All in all I think this is a great song.

I think this song is about heroin and alcohol abuse.

" I've been up to Bilious Terry's, to see what's a happenin'....there's people rolling round on the carpet, mixin' up the medicine..." Still prefer my version of the lyrics ;p
