This is a truly an amazing score for a TV series. I was living in the town of Hollister, California where many of scenes were filmed. A buddy of mine who was able to be a stand in next to Jane Seymour. What a thrill for a 16 year old boy. btw, the area is still as beautiful as they show in the series.

Lee Holdridge is far and above any film composer in his great range of music, from classical to pop to film. He outranks them all! See his bio.

I agree with the beauty of this mini series soundtrack. I could listen to it , Eleanor and Franklin and North and South  all day. however the series was done in 1981, not 1995.

I remember as a kid watching David Copperfield fly to this piece.  The music flowed with the illusion so well it inspired me to study music and magic.
