It's so critical or better such a thin line on how one decision can affect success or failure. Maurice White was brilliant, no question. But his decision to bring on Philip Bailey and allow him the space to transform the band was perhaps his masterstroke. And that the band continues to perform and presumably love one another to this day is the best illustration of Mr. White's vision of love through the power of music.
