damn 40 water really was/is ahead of the game. I doubt he ever put too much thought into it but his lyricism is really top shelf. how he can deliver all those words in an off kilter cadence and just the words he chooses or makes up lol. sure he wasn't writing crazy complex metaphors and similes like Mos Def or Black Thought but if you consider Pac a great lyricist for his story telling you have to include 40 too. might even make the case that he's technical ability is greater too imo. he does more within a bar in a way nobody else ever could. I'll always be fascinated with dudes like him and Suga Free's style flows.
