Lyrics:

You keep calling me

On the telephone

You say you're all alone

Well that's real sad

And you keep leavin'

Notes stuck on my door

Guess you're hungry for some more

Girl that's too bad

Cuz I ain't that lonely yet

No I ain't that lonely yet

After what you put me through

Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Once there was this

Spider in my bed

I got caught up in her web

Of love and lies

She put her chains

Around my heart and soul

Never to let go

Oh but I survived

Cuz I ain't that lonely yet

No I ain't that lonely yet

After what you put me through

Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Nothing left you can do to try and bring me back

Cuz everything you do

Just brings me down, oh yeah and I

I ain't that lonely yet

No I ain't that lonely yet

After what you put me through

Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Cuz I ain't that lonely yet

No I ain't that lonely yet

After what you put me through

Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Cuz I ain't that lonely yet

No I ain't that lonely yet

After what you put me through

Oh I ain't that lonely yet

I heard someone say this was about his brief affair with Sharon Stone. Anyone know?

Something we love to hear in a song is a man expressing hurt. And he does it quite well.

I also always found the cover of the album/CD to be cool there, with Dwight standing in front of the large image of a clock. I suppose he represents one of the 'hands.' It must be 6:00.. :-] I have always highly loved this Dwight Yoakam installment. It is certainly my very favorite from Dwight Yoakam, and I always say that it was my very favorite country music song from the entire decade of the 1990s, and obviously the year of 1993, a year filled with much greatness in the country music world. To be more precise, this was the summer of 1993, and I would love to go back..but alas, time marches on.. :-/ :-]

I'm going through a divorce after 20 years and 5 kids. High school sweethearts, stay at home mom, struggling put her through college now she's a nurse and kicked me to the curb! No regrets, no remorse. Cried many nights listening to this song. I guess u really never know anyone.

I saw Dwight Yoakam a long time ago open for Los Lobos in San Francisco and he simply blew everyone away, even while Los Lobos played people kept yelling for Dwight to come out again. I knew then he would be big.
