Written by brother Tom, "Losing You" was always one of my favorite Dusty hits. I was surprised that it did not get a higher ranking in the charts.

Dusty is pure perfection. Such a difficult song to perform and she knocks it out of the park. Love her! RIP sweet Mary..

Once again, Dusty was an angel of the first degree. Where God is she now?

She is so sexy when she brings her hands up to her head when she gets to singing about her mind. Very sexy hands and forearms and face, a great show girl, but if her hands etc are so sexy ...................................................

Don't forget to check out the videos of her singing with her brother Dion (AKA Tom Springfield) and Tim Feild as The Springfields. Listen to "Island of Dreams," then "Silver Threads and Golden Needles." The latter, released in 1962, reached #20 in Billboard, the first single by a British group to enter the top 20. Dusty's singing in Island of Dreams gives me chills every time I listen. Hope you'll listen to these two.

Dusty didn't sound black per say, she had soul that came from within.

Many white artists like Mick Jagger copy black artists voice because they sell so well, but Dusty wasn't copying anyone, she just sounded black. Maybe it is from good memories of great black artists songs that caused so many white artists to sound black in the 60's, because their idols were black. I heard this Angel on the radio in the mid-60's and just assumed that she was another black singer from Detroit then found out that she was a blonde from England a good year later. The thing about Dusty, she didn't deliberately sound like a black woman, it just came natural. Just goes to show that not all voices go with skin color.

I used to think that women had far too many myths about men, but I guess men have many myths about women too. This Angel became bi-sex at a time when it was frowned on and said, "yes, I would love to fall in love with a man, but they scare the crap out of me", how could any man scare the great Dusty Springfield? I wish I was the man who wondered into her life at the right time, she would have clearly learned, a woman as great as her never need be fearful of a man.
