It is so sad that she is talking about her last album. We lost our lovely and brilliant Dusty Springfield way too soon. Love you always Dusty!

She seems so lovely, I wish I had become a fan of hers while she was still alive!

It's lovely to see the sweet, thoughtful comments of men about Dusty. She was loved by so many, gay or not.

Those feelings we recognise with illness that "we don't have time" to be ill, Dusty agrees for medicine here, fine interviews that summer and the record was nicely promoted in America, with a little vocal tour on the Joules Holland Show. Definately Dusty xx

These are women of the pop and rock & roll idiom. Of course if I expanded my choices to include jazz and standards vocalists, I would have to include Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Rosemary Clooney, Julie Andrews, and others who had or have excellent singing voices.

Yes, Dusty Springfield was very expressive that way, giving her a unique style. Dusty, Ronnie Spector, Petula Clark, Lesley Gore, and of course Aretha Franklin, are my top five, favorite female singers of all-time. Rounding out the list of my top ten, I would include Darlene Love, Janis Joplin, Mary Weiss of The Shangri-Las, "Mama" Cass Elliot, and Tina Turner.
