This was an anthem to me in the 80s, I was too young to go to the concerts, but i still tried to get everythign Duran Duran did! This and 'Hold Back the Rain': -- Duran Duran were so much more than just a pretty pop band- maybe not the super poets like Queen or Wire or Gary Numan or Ultravox, but they were peers in the end..

I've seen this band live 5 times since Rio came out.. and they get better and better each time, IMO.

@errbt well, I like VH, but havent ever seen them live. But, Ive seen DD 6 times (once with Andy). Ive also seen Power Station. All seven of those gigs were just amazingly loud. And I would have to say that PS was a tad louder, actually (which I guess isnt that much of a surprise.)

Well, I'm guessing you're not into Van Halen then! ;) But yes, they are loud, and it's because, as much as the word might make Nick cringe, they are and always have been a rock band, especially live. No lightweight pop here. They kick ass. When I saw them at the Palace in MI in 2005, we were to Andy's side of the stage and I was in heaven (I'm a guitar player so I'm used to the noise)!
