"Rio" soared to such stratospheric heights that it is so revered, within the Duran Duran catalog and surely the broader scope of popular music. However, "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" is vastly underrated, in my opinion, boasting songs with tremendous depth. It was so moody and atmospheric. I remember being so taken the first time I heard "The Seventh Stranger." Still sounds so fresh. Same for the forgotten "Tiger Tiger" instrumental. And yeah, John Taylor played like a boss.

When I first heard the album (late 1983 on LA's KROQ), this was my favorite of all the songs. I always wanted them to release it as a single and make a video.

I still have this cassette in my car and I still listen to it. I think it is a great album and Reflex is most certainly not weak. It is a great song.

@86instantClassic the stress if which you speak was due to a severe illness to nick Rhodes.. The initial album was scrapped & started a fresh.. There was no other stresses in the making if this album. They were in the south if France relaxed & writing & recording to their peak
