but the irony is that DD without Simon couldnt sound like DDuran ^_^ i dont know if he sings well, tones of artist cant sing too. guess he have a quite destinctive voice anyway ,and a very hard tone for to match. guess they were quite creative and quite good musicians aswell, and very well mixed up

style over substance? you are either having a laugh or just plainly unable to spot talent. Le Bon is/was a tremendous front man for a band. Thats obvious. All great front men capture the audience attention and give them something to focus on and identify the band with. Duran duran, in the era of style over substance (which has become a kitch) term these days, were and became a pedigree band built to play live and have enduring pop songs. Indeed, duran duran were the 1980s pop.
