Has anybody ever heard/seen the mix Take The A Tain/Girl From Ipanema performed by Tom Jobim live in NY just before his death? Wonderful!

This was composed and first performed 7 years before Stan Kenton's Intermission Riff, and is just such a danceable tune. What a shame that bands don't swing like that any more.

I love this song so much. Hilariously, I can't stop thinking about Tom and Jerry whenever I hear this song or any jazz this style.
