I've been an Elvis fan for longer than I can remember and have heard his songs thousands of times. While I admit Shawn does have a nice voice it really does not compare in quality to Elvis'. There is something about Elvis' voice that transcends the mere lyrics and has something to it that is so difficult to describe in words but you feel it. I've seen many tribute artists from Klush to Church and no one has a voice as good as the King's.

i don't mind shawn i agree on this he sounds pretty close to elvis..what i don't is why hes trying to be him.its wrong..there willl always be just one elvis,shawn should try making his own music instead of being a copycat king..but i mean no disrespect to shawns vocal he can sing too.

There are at least 10 people I've heard that indeed are very very good, but I'm just saying Shawn is the closest to Elvis. Not a big deal, they are all good wonphi. We're saying the same thing, of course Elvis was the best, Iloved Elvis, and I'm sure all his imitator did too. Espicially Ronnie McDowell, who made the "The King is Gone".

I disagree, Shawn's voice is close to Elvis, but Elvis wasn't as "throaty" sounding as Shawn. But much respect to Shawn, he's the closest you can get to Elvis in this day in age.

Because someone sounds almost identical to Elvis, does not lower the respect for Elvis. The people that do Elvis, do Elvis because they loved him. To say that no one compares sounds rather foolish, when you know they sound so much alike, there is no way anyone could tell which is singing. Elvis was the greatest, but Shawn's voice is the same, period, it just is. He's not trying to beat Elvis, he is just trying to sound as good, and he does a darn good job of it.
