This song written by Clarence Carter at the Muscle Shoals studio's in Alabama, is one the first songs where Duane Allman appears on a song as session musician. Especially the AMAZING slide guitar solo in the middle of the song by Duane Allman is a stunning performance in a allready great song.

What a great cut! After Duane's solo, Albert Lowe (I think) does the wonderful lead playing (starting at 1:52). His entrance then is a perfect release of tension after Duane blows the roof off with his slide work. Vocals, guitar and writer – Clarence Carter; Drums – Roger Hawkins; Guitar [Lead] – Albert Lowe; Guitar [Slide] – Duane Allman; Rhythm Guitar – Jimmy Johnson; Organ – Marvell Thomas; Piano – Barry Beckett; Sax [Baritone] – Floyd Newman, James Mitchell; Sax [Tenor] – Aaron Varnell, Joe Arnold; Trumpet – Gene Miller; Engineer, Producer, Arranger – Rick HallA single was originally recorded on July 26, 1967 (before Allman was involved) but re-recording was done on November 12, 1968.

One of the greatest blues guitarists of all time. I saw him in Philadelphia. He tortured that guitar and made it bleed the blues. Still miss him.

talk about bustin' the dump up. It's straight up pentatonic scale terror. Tab? It's 5 notes with glisses on and off - easy peasy. How 'bout slinky stanky Feel!! That ain't in no tab and Duane ain't easy. Love B Trucks though - almost channeling the good stuff

tune the guitar to open and mess around with the pentatonic scale at the 7th and 9 th position and you should get it by using your ear against the track

Rory Gallagher... Yeah Eric Stopped somewhere in 90s :-) Gregg went sober in mid 90s and dickey in 2000.....you know i don´t care who takes drugs, its their private thing ( only if they don´t sound like Sex Pistols )
