you should hear the old one. its a traditional irish folk song from long , long ago. if its pace was a carriage gently rolling than this version was a rocket car. because they played it so fast it broke the land speed record.

Dropkick Murphys - "Finnegans Wake"\m/ (◣_◢) \m/*Happy St. Patrick's Day G+* "Finnegan's Wake" is a ballad that arose in the 1850s in the music-hall tradition of comical Irish songs. The song is a staple of the Irish folk-music. In the ballad, the hod-carrier Tim Finnegan, born "with a love for the liquor", falls from a ladder, breaks his skull, and is thought to be dead. The mourners at his wake become rowdy, and spill whiskey over Finnegan's corpse, causing him to come back to life and join in the celebrations. Whiskey causes both Finnegan's fall and his resurrection—whiskey is derived from the Irish phrase uisce beatha (pronounced [ˈiʃkʲə ˈbʲahə]), meaning "water of life".Whack fol' the dah, now, dance to your partner.Wipe the floor, your trotters shake.Isn't it the truth I told ya?Lots of fun at Finnegan's wake.#HellYeahImIrish #StPatricksDay #BostonRocks #RockNeedsMoreBagpipes #musicbomb #CelticPunk #musiceveryday

Huh. If you go further back, you'll find that the Pictish folk are really all so mixed up together that there really isn't a whole lot of difference. What you list in your comment are more socio-political statuses rather than race/genetic lines.

"To send him on his way each day, he had a drop of the ... " WHAT? He didn't have a drop of "the catheter" every morn. He had a drop of the CRAYTHUR. Pronounce it like it's spelt, son. Sheesh. Are they really Irish or just pretending?

You need a history lesson I see. Scots-Irish are the descendants of Protestant dissenters from the Irish province of Ulster who migrated to North America during the 18th and 19th centuries. Most of the Scots-Irish were descended from Scottish and English families who colonized Ireland during the Plantation of Ulster in the 17th century. To put it simply, My Dad was English born, my Mom was mostly Irish with a wee bit o Scottish thrown in for good measure. If you don't like it, Pog Mo Thoin.

That's funny! I'm English, Irish, Welsh and Scottish and you sound just like me that I gotta Fight myself now and again. Most importantly, I'm American all the way! U.S.A. Oi!
