i think im the only one here that likes the part at 1:52, but not only because of the guitar, its also how the bass and piano are complimenting the guitar in their own waythe piano is of a more jazzy tone, complimenting the guitar melody with its dominant 7 and suspended 4th chords, giving it an extra backbone melody. this part would sound empty and arguably uglier without the piano influencing the melody into sounding different, mostly because of how the bass is playing more to the piano than to the guitar.the bass gives off a funky tone and is being more upfront than what is normal of regular bass. it compliments the piano much more than the guitar, again, because the bass is playing more to the piano's melody than to the guitar's. there would less of an impact if the bass was taken away, but without it, you wouldnt hear the funky scale that gets played later on
