Nah I think either JP is too reluctant to go out of his comfort one, or he just doesn't have good, fresh ideas anymore, and I'm a little surprised with JR's lack of experimentation. I don't think MM will have any impact on the music, as he said he didn't want to impose himself (lame), so let the mediocrity continue

Haha. I didn't care for ADTOE as much as I did the previous six or so albums, but I think they can recover. It's not Mangini's fault, because he wasn't involved in the writing process. I think part of it is the lack of MP lyrics plus the fact that drum tracks that are pre-programmed aren't going to be as good as parts completely written by either Mike. Any band is going to be affected by the departure of a founding member after a quarter of a century.
