This is a phenomenal song. But it sounds like Triumph-Magic Power. Look it up

I fucking love how playful the whole composition is, it's definitely a treat for Jordan Rudass and his audience, but Mike and John fucking do an amazing job keeping you into the song, and while James's voice is warning you for the solo, it feels like it's catching you after it's done, like it's right beside you.

They could have found a spot in the middle of Images and Words for this tune.

Well. I will always defend my favorite keyboardist, Kevin Moore. He was responsible for some of their most prolific work to this day. SFAM and SDOIT are spectacular, and I kind of wish they were the end of the DT relationship with Rudess. Moore could help them balance back their sound, which has taken a huge detour from the days of Awake.

Dream theater has been filming !EVERYTHING! since the formation of the band. It was a documentary, just like they've done with plenty of their other albums. Fans enjoy seeing what the band does and its reassuring to know there was a good reason to have choose Mangini. It was closer to a HD Vlog than a "reality show". To suddenly call them mainstream makes no sense.

It seems you enjoy DT's progressive/metal elements less than their pop/harmonic elements. That's fine but to call it not "real music" is a little rediculous. There is no such thing as "real music" its just music you like, and music you do not like. Also, to say it's not "real music" to a band putting together passionate material in the face of such a shitty mainstream scene is, in my opinion, misguided anger. In an effort to make all music inspired, Dream Theater is near the end of the list.

Didn't you know? "Real music" is codeword for "Music that I like."
