I'm a fan of DragonForce and Dragonland, I like both of them, but i have to defend Herman because he is a great musician, I had the chance to hear him in a guitar workshop in my country and he played very well... so, don't use that argument of the cheats any more please... Dragonland Rules, and DragonForce Rules too!!

DragonForce is alright but wankery doesn't make them THAT good. They toned it down on their most recent album which I enjoyed. Now I do like DragonForce, but Dragonland way more.

Have you tried Sabaton and Falconer? They don't use tenor vocals, both Joakim Broden and Mathias Blad from their respective bands are baritones, so they have slightly deeper vocals.

I found out Dragonland first than Dragonforce (3 years distance) and im from SOUTH America, i should say, i enjoy Dragonland best... its the background music of my daily life...

i know countless people who did look up powermetal after hearing TTFATF. I am one of those poeple. none of us ever knew it existed until hearing that song. they also tour the US more than most powermetal bands, and play massive shows, which was further spreading the genre. they ma not have made powermetal mainstream, but countless people have discovered real music by hearing them.

Dragonforce didn't get Power Metal popular in the United States, they only got the "through the fire and flames" song popular, most people after hearing that song didn't bother looking up power metal, and after the song died down, people just forgot about that style, so I wouldn't say they got power metal popular in the United States, because they didn't in reality.
