Song: Antimatter

Band: Dragonland

Album: Astronomy

-- LYRICS --

Radioactive decay

A separation of fragile cycles

Decelerating our age

Nothing stands in my way and the universe

Before the stars were born

From matter it was told

Reach out you will see

What science won't believe

A mirror for this world

Through gateways you will pass

Inverted human mass

There will be no return

And soon you will learn

Now follow me

Before the stars were born

From matter it was told

Reach out you will see

What science won't believe

A mirror for this world

Through gateways you will pass

Inverted human mass

Leave this heart

To a blight

With shadows lost inside

A vision of empty light

Abandon your sight

Before this dream was born

My vision was forlorn

None believe but now

Behold what can't be seen

The mirror of a dream

There will be no return

So reach out, you will learn

Under the grey banner is by far their greatest piece of work. I just can't get into this album..

What do you think about Unde the grey banner?

@JonnyGR04 Under a Grey Banner didn't really touch my nerves as Starfall did. I'm quite disappointed and my expectations were very high so I think Astronomy was even a better album than their newest will ever be. It's like they are going downhill from here and out. Sorry!

@mrjpad Vocal style has the final say in determining [sub]genre. 90+% of this song is operatic singing, which is characteristic of power, prog, & traditional heavy metal. This song is in 4/4 time from start to finish, so there are no progressive elements. Metalcore is a fusion genre. It's its own entity. It's not metal; it's not hardcore. This song has 1 short metalcore-esque vocal/guitar passage--NOWHERE near enough to ever call this song or DL metalcore, especially given all their other work.

@mrjpad Don't you date to compare Gaycore with the epic Dragonland!!!

@mrjpad hey, many melodeath, metalcore and power metal bands were inspired by traditional metal riffs, this is the reason why they sound almost the same when comes to guitars

and this song.... really isn't prog or power. is more closer to metalcore genre

this album really isn't a greaaaat album, but is ok. The style they painted in this album is a cross between progresive melodic metal and power, but basically they focused in more prog metal in their previous album, starfall. Starfall is really better than astronomy. Is a good album... but not enough to say this is a great album

@Krelianx Wow , you are a fucking idiot aside of a complete ignorant cunt. Astronomy is one hell of an album, pretty notable, if you dont even have the capability of listening more than 2 minutes of a song or not have just about any kind of musical criteria or sensibility , at least refrain from posting such crap please.

This was a terrible album. Not a single memorable song. One wouldn't need time to record such mediocre music.

Starfall was a step into a new direction for the band and it was good. Can't say the same about this one there is something wrong about the vocals and the music on this album. It doesn't feels right. I might be stuck in the past with Holy War because I can't get it out from there, seriously.

@cheat123 The name you're looking for is "Nu Metal," not New Metal. And yes, this song is a bit of a mix between Nu and Power.
