I'll always prefer ZP, but hey while he's not in Dragonforce I'm totally content with Marc on vocals. Nobody can possibley argue against his awesomeness. So glad they picked him! :P

i'm actually really glad that dragonforce found a singer who can hit the high notes and pull it off in live situation and do long tours. Sure some singers may sound better and hit the high notes with full voice, but can they do it on a regular basis and on long and stressfull tours where the circumstances, venues, temperature, air quality, sleep etc.. isn't optimal.. it is easy to be a hater when you don't know half the stuff that goes on around hectic touring.

He does sound pretty good on the Power Within album. Maybe it's just the poor audio in this particular video. I guess he's as good as most other vocalists out there, just not ZP Theart. But then nobody is really as good as ZP Theart. Theart just seems to have the perfect voice inflections for metal. I just like the way he pronounces lyrics, like "Valley of the Daimned".

I don't think Marc is as good ZP (obviously), but he's actually REALLY good. I will be the first to say, at first when he joined DragonForce he sucked, but now he does a GREAT job. I don't think people are giving him enough slack and enough of a chance.

Well, I kinda get what you mean. Zp doesn't sound right in his new band... It's weird after hearing him in DF for so long. The problem was, zp couldn't even sing near the end with all the drinking & pot smoking on stage... Just listen to their live album. Who knows... Maybe if Hudson gets cocky & smokes too much he'll get kicked like zp.

Actually, the whole problem is that the vocalist pretty much IS the band. ZP Theart WAS DragonForce. It is easy to replace musicians but damn near impossible to replace a vocalist. That's why DragonForce should have simply folded up shop the day Theart left. They're not DragonForce now. They're a DragonForce cover band, and not a very good one.

Yeah but Hudson was not even an experienced metal vocalist. They just got him from a video he sent in. That's not how you get a vocalist. You find a guy from another band. Maybe contact some music schools and see some of their best students, something like that. The person needs some actual vocal training. I don't see the appeal of Marc Hudson. Not a competent vocalist and no real stage presence or performing ability. Maybe they weren't offering enough money money to attract good vocalists.
