Dr John was in the tail end of a nearly 40 year heroin habit when this was filmed. yeah he was messed up with drugs and that messes with his appearance, but his habits/appearance are nothing related to NOLA culture, i dont see why you are making that assumption... just dig his music and chill with the superficiality bro
