Doyle tuned the guitar a whole octave down. Strange but maybe intersting. He an interesting guitarist anyway. Otherwise this version kind of misses the point.

@ReedoJack: yes, Sheryl Crow is a classically trained pianist. She has played the piano since age five.

Loved Sheryl (actually I think she sounded better than Stevie) but Doyle was definitely off. Personally I think Peter Stroud would have done a better job

i've never been able to stomach sheryl, for various reasons. doyle bramhall ii on the other hand, was born in the blood. shockingly, this pairing exsanguinates him completely and the result is cheap bar band playin with a wannabe-soulfull chick singer tryin to be real.... urp. it just don't make it. learn to lay back and burn, please.

SRV knew D. Bramahall and D.B. Sr. was like family. SRV gave junior his break on stage in Santa Cruz in 86' . SRV would be damn proud of everything Doyle does. Hopefully the best is yet to come for both of these cats. they r good eggs.
