Beautiful man. Beautiful voice. Beautiful song. I never knew who sang my favorite version of Auld Lang Syne, but now I know his name.

I sat on a bench outside a coffee house one summer night some years ago and struck up a conversation with a random stranger. We talked awhile about many thing other than music and I remember how down to earth he was and very humble. He introduced himself as Dougie, and we left it at that. I finally asked him if he played music himself and I remember him lowering his head with a big smile on his face. He then patted me on the back and said. "Yes, I've been around a few stages" Shortly after we shook hands and he eventually left with some people. It wasn't until later on that night when people told me who he was...Great man indeed.

The R-WORD has been a principal tool anti-Whites have used to further their program of White Genocide. It carries the fundamental lie that racial feeling is a learned pathology rather than an innate biological trait that evolved to protect the survival of racial groups. Whites are the only race that have been taught that lie, and are the only race that believe it. White people are being targeted for Genocide thru assimilation! Anti-racist is a codeword for anti-White. /watch?v=lKDeyuM0-Og

There is always somewhere out there who needs you, but how often do we just walk on by and look the other way? How often do we cross over to the other side of the road?

On Wednesday the 27th of March the Arts Within Society class from the university of Strathclyde took part in their final performance which incorporated at least two aspects of performance that we had been learning about across the previous weeks. These include music, drama, dance and the visual arts. The performance was to last 10-15 minutes and had to include two out of a given three songs by the tutors. The tutors split the class into 2 groups and gave us free reign of how to construct our performance. My group chose the songs Broken Wings by Dougie McLean and Refuge by Howard Goodall which represented the music requirement for own performance and our story was about a group of refugees having to leave their home country and go somewhere new and how scary and lonely this can be. We also performed the 'Cup song' from the film Pitch Perfect in a playground scene to show childhood innocence. Our group prepared a presentation which played throughout our performance. We performed still images acting out scenes during the instrumental parts of Broken Wings by Dougie McLean and this represented our visual arts aspect of the performance. The performances were filmed and put on YouTube and each group got to watch each other perform. Both groups chose the same two songs but it was interesting to see how the other group performed them differently. This shows that there are many ways to attempt a task and you cannot expect the same results from different people. Each group got to arrange their own light displays and when the music came in. This experience was team building as we had to work together to come up with a finished article each taking into consideration each others ideas which can be difficult as there can be some clashes of opinion. Another challenge of the performance was that I felt there wasn't much time to prepare and that if we had had the extra time it would have made our performance more polished. I felt that this experience was extremely valuable as it was confidence boosting as we had to get over out insecurities and perform just as you have to do when you are teaching in front of the class. I particularly enjoyed the performance as I have not participated in anything like this in a long time and it was nice to be able to do something creative again. Performing in front of an audience is important in teaching as in order for your class to learn something you must be able to demonstrate what you are asking the children to do. All in all I feel that the performance was a valuable and challenging experience but was fun and enjoyable to take part in and see the final result on YouTube.
