Who remembers Dory? I love this song. And from 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' with 'Whispering' Bob Harris! Wow that takes me back a few years .... a few ideas ... a few hopes and dreams .... ah me.

Saw her perform at Colston Hall in Bristol in 1977 the year I got married, she was incredible so small with a beautiful voice, remember her saying she could never fly and could never get over her fear of being in an aeroplane, magical stuff

I saw her in concert in the 70's at Carnaige Hall. She was incredible . How Andre Previn let her for that pig Mia Farrow is sad.

My mom got me hooked on Dory Previn and I love her singing and songwriting so much.

I used to listen to Dory Previn all the time, I also remember her appearance in the BBC series "The Camera and the Song", I would love to see it again.I wonder if anyone remembers it.

I can believe how good she sounded. I attended her first UK gig which was one of the best I've ever been to. Perfect. She didn't come here much because she hated flying.

Circa 1978, her material was also featured in a 30-minute BBC show which spliced her songs to archive footage, rather like an extended video. It was one in a series: Buffy St Marie appeared in the same series.

I can not believe how great she sounds on this live show. Her voice is clear and beautiful. Except for Chuck Berry, Dory really didn't belong in the generation that she appealed to with her solo music. She was my mother's age -- she was from the big band era. Born in 1925. Yet, her albums, music, lyrics on her terrific solo albums were all contemporary 70's and her only real competition as a solo artist -- Joni Mitchell. She was a marvel and she should be remembered for some real clever songs.

Interesting how she has not been 're-assessed' in these recent times.

@MrAttPatt Glad to hear this upload proved you right. I'm not sure about the other tracks you mentioned as the BBC4 seried didn't include all of her recordings, but I'd be sure to upload any of Dory's songs that I come accross in any future broadcast. Ciao.
